Kellert Labs ("Kellert Labs", "we", "us" or "our") is Kellert Labs Pty Ltd, a proprietary limited company based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia (ABN 90 701 212 213). This website is published by us at kellertlabs.com.

Kellert Labs Pty Ltd is very likely under the Privacy Act's small-business threshold today, so the APPs may not strictly compel this page. We publish it anyway: this site makes public statements about how little it collects, and the Australian Consumer Law makes a statement like that enforceable whether or not the APPs apply. A privacy claim without a public record of what it means is the worst of both.

This policy covers this website only. The DARCE mobile app has its own, separate Privacy Policy at darce.app.

Almost none. There is no account, no sign-up, no form, no newsletter and no contact database on this site. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other detail, and there is no field in which you could give one. We do not build a profile of you and we do not track you across other websites.

We use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load. It is first party, sets no cookies, and records page-performance data rather than information about you. Its script, and the data it reports, are served from this site's own origin, so no third-party script watches you here.

Like almost every website, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Vercel) processes standard technical request data such as your IP address and browser type in order to serve pages and keep the Site secure. We do not combine that with anything else to identify you.

We do not sell your personal information, and there is almost nothing to share. The only providers involved in running the Site are our hosting and content-delivery provider (Vercel) and its Speed Insights performance tool. We may also disclose information where we are required or authorised by law, or to protect safety or our legal rights. We do not disclose personal information for any other purpose.

The Site links out to darce.app and to our pages on social platforms. Following one of those takes you to a service with its own privacy practices, and your browser tells it you came from kellertlabs.com. Our Referrer-Policy header limits that to the site name and never the page you were on, and we pass nothing else.

Our hosting and content-delivery provider operates a global network, so the technical request data described above may be processed on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we rely on that provider's own safeguards.

We do not hold a store of personal information about visitors. Speed Insights performance data is retained by the provider for a limited period in an aggregated form. Standard server and request logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the Site.

We take reasonable steps to protect the Site and any information handled through it, including serving the whole Site over an encrypted connection and keeping the amount of personal information involved as close to nothing as we can. The strongest protection here is structural: we keep no store of personal information about visitors, so there is almost nothing to lose.

Access, correction and enquiries. You can ask what personal information, if any, we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or raise any privacy concern, by emailing kai@kellertlabs.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. Given how little we collect, in most cases the answer will be that we hold nothing that identifies you.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy issue, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), which can be contacted at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

The Site is not directed at children, and because it collects no personal information it does not knowingly collect any from a child. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to deal with it.

We may update this policy if the Site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If we ever add anything that collects or stores your information, we will update this policy first, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
